"intelligent light system" Automotive safety campaign

A visual series focused on advanced lighting and night assistance systems, built around the detection of animals in low-visibility conditions.

Each piece features animals illuminated by an intense frontal light beam, simulating the vehicle’s technology emerging from complete darkness. The art direction relies on strong contrast between deep blacks and a focused white light, creating a dramatic effect that isolates the subject.

The campaign communicates that Mercedes-Benz’s Intelligent Light System enhances road safety by providing up to 60% more visibility, allowing drivers to anticipate obstacles ahead. To illustrate this, some executions introduce an “X-ray vision” effect, where the headlights reveal the internal structure of animals such as cows and deer, emphasizing detection beyond what is normally visible.

Technically, the visuals are based on photography combined with advanced post-production, where retouching enhances silhouettes, rim lighting, and organic textures. Light becomes the main storytelling element, recreating an enhanced vision experience and reinforcing anticipation and safety.

The result is a minimal yet powerful campaign where technology is translated into a clear, cinematic visual language.
